What we're doing
The event technicians resource group is geared towards those who work in the corporate theater industry. Also known as corporate events, corporate meetings, association meetings, etc. Any event that requires audio, video, lighting, staging, rigging, and/or other forms of production. Membership is open to all who work in the industry. Those who are pushing their way up the ladder and striving to be the best they can be working long hours and in the dark will learn a tremendous amount.
As so many of the methods of corporate theater are born from traditional theater, stagehands of all sorts will also benefit from the knowledge contained within our resource group.
Our online courses will help you add to and improve your skill sets in whatever department you work in. If we don’t have what you’re looking for, let us know. Our connections span all areas of the entertainment industry.
Timing is Everything
We are launching this set of resources as we are getting our Covid vaccine shots and events are starting to to be produced. Are you planning on returning to the industry? There are many who have explored new jobs to hold them over during these times. Some have discovered new careers entirely.
Our resources include information for those wanting to build their businesses from scratch. Or improve upon the freelance independent contractor practice already in place.
