Stage management for corporate events has similar characteristics as stage management for theater except the you’re not dealing with actors. You are usually in charge of calling all the cues to the various departments supporting the event and is quite likely you don’t even have a script. You might be following a PowerPoint presentation while the person speaking on stage is flying by the seat of their pants and ad-libbing along the way.
